An
ancient construction once dedicated to stock rearing and dating back to 1700,
Hotel Masseria Bandino
respects the typical architectural style of the rural salento
countryside. It lies in the shelter of its very own extensive and unspoilt pine
forest (5 hectares) and is set in one of Otranto's
most beautiful and charming valley landscapes. The surronding area is rich in
olive trees, citrus plantations and aromatic wild vegetation. In the spring-summer
seasons excursions into the pine forest offer the possibility to view rare floral
specimens such as wild orchids (Anacamptis pyramidalis). In
a fortunate position from which one can admire the inlet of Otranto's
port, Bandino is the ideal setting for enjoying a holiday with the emphasis on
privacy and nature in the restful calmness of the "Hydruntina" countryside.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste genuine food and rediscover traditional
flavours with abundant breakfast and special dinners upon request. A reading area
with bar service is available for guests use in the oldest part of the building. |
